Ugh

in the middle of the night for a bottle pretty regularly for the last couple of weeks.

But in positive news, on Sunday I had some time alone at the house while Millie slept and Mel had Helen out for some fun stuff that I was able to get a drawing area set up in my office upstairs. I lugged my ancient desk up out of the basement and set my drawing board up on it, and today I bought a desk lamp and another head for my track light; it’s a pretty OK setup, and I’m excited to be able to start something and leave it out, instead of spending the majority of my drawing time setting up and then putting everything away.

Now I just need to figure out how to make time to do the work I need to do to get better. I’m starting to see some very slow improvements; I just have to fill a page or two (or six) in a sketchbook every day.
