A fresh start for the ol’ dot-com

The years 2010 and 2011 were really good as far as this website is concerned. The years since, not so much. The last two, particularly not so much. Yesterday, I decided it was time for a fresh start and archived every single one of the 835 posts that existed on this blog.

You may be curious and wonder what will be different this time around — totally valid question, dear reader, and one for which I have no good answer. There are lots of things under the hood that I have wanted to play around with for a long time — WordPress-native content calendars, using Cloudinary to manage digital assets, hoping to find a desktop blogging app that was as nice as Blogo[efn_note]Man, the way they just up and vanished back in mid-2018 was a perfect example of “don’t get too attached to fun new apps”[/efn_note]. Stuff like that. I also finally feel like I’ve got some things to share for the first time in a long time, and shedding the bloat from previous fits-and-starts is refreshing.

Plus, I made that sweet post header. So that’s something.

So, who knows what’s going to happen here. You’ll just have to join me and see how this goes.
