A sincere thank you to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for signing a $1.9 billion bonding bill for the State of Minnesota today — and to both the House and Senate for passing the bill and sending it to his desk for signature.
This bill includes $90.888 million for construction and preservation projects at Minnesota State colleges and universities. While neither Bemidji State University nor Northwest Technical College have capital projects in this bonding bill, both will benefit from the $46.347 million in funding for Higher Education Asset Preservation & Replacement projects included in the total. BSU and NTC each have one significant project that will now be funded, thanks to today’s action by the Governor.
Thank you, Gov. Walz. These projects are important to our campuses and will help us ensure that both BSU and NTC can continue to provide all Minnesotans with access to an affordable, high-quality education.
