Primaris Redemptor Dreadnaught — done! (Almost; I messed up the flamethrower weapon option for the left hand and I need to fix that eventually). This thing was a pain to build; it’s an odd combination of static and poseable; there are some weird engineering decisions, and the way the legs work if you build them in the order the instructions tells you to there’s an excellent chance to mess up one of the feet. But it sure looks cool. #primaris #warhammer40k
Today’s thrift store garbage rescue.
Time to see how well one of my all-time favorite video games plays as a board game. #kickstarter @horizonzerodawn_official @steamforged_games
“Hey guys.” #primaris #dreadnaught #warhammer40k #deadpilot
It is such a great feeling when you have a random moment of inspiration and decide on a whim to try something you’ve never attempted before, and you kinda nail it. The lore for these walkers, called Dreadnaughts, is that when some soldiers’ bodies are killed, their corpses are entombed in a sarcophagus and inserted into a dreadnaught, allowing their spirit to continue fighting (yeah, the lore for this game is bat-shit crazy). Inexplicably, then, the models are hollow. So I scratch-built a sled and used parts from about 3 different kits to piece together a corpse with lots of gnarly cables coming out of it, and added some panels to flesh out the interior of the vehicle (no pun intended). Now, this badass mech has a proper corpse pilot. #warhammer40k #primaris #dreadnaught #fortheemperor
Let’s build a corpse! #warhammer40k #dreadnaught
